Castle Defense Architecture
Honeycomb Layout
The honeycomb is the gold standard of castle defense. It forces raiders to break through multiple walls to reach your castle heart.

Layer Requirements
| Defense Layer | Material | HP | Time to Break (Golem) |
| Tier 1 Walls | Stone | 5,000 | ~30 seconds |
| Tier 2 Walls | Stone + Iron | 7,500 | ~60 seconds |
| Tier 3 Walls | Dark Silver | 12,000 | ~120 seconds |
| Tier 4 Walls | Gemstone | 20,000 | ~180 seconds |
Room Types
| Room Type | Purpose | Best Placement |
| False Room | Empty room with locked door | Layers 2-3 — waste raider time/resources |
| Trap Room | Floor spikes, explosion traps | Layer 1 — damage enemies immediately |
| Servant Room | 4+ servant coffins | Layers 2-3 — defenders attack raiders |
| Storage Room | All valuable loot | Beyond layer 3 — protected |
| Hollow Wall | 2 walls with empty space | Any layer — double the HP to break |
Key Defense Principles
- Castle heart position: Place the castle heart in the deepest room, surrounded by at least 3 wall layers in every direction. Never put it on an outer wall.
- Servant proximity: Servant coffins should be within 1 room of the castle heart. Servants have a patrol range — keep them near the core.
- No windows: Windows let enemies see inside your base and plan their breach. Solid walls only.
- Multiple floors: If your castle tier allows, build vertically. 2+ floors force raiders to climb stairs (slow, exposed).
- Servant patrol routes: Place waypoints in your hollow walls. Servants patrol through them and engage raiders who are mid-breach.
- The "spider" layout: Central heart with 4+ corridors radiating outward. Each corridor has 3-4 rooms. Raiders must guess which corridor leads to the heart.
Raiding Basics — Attacking Enemy Castles
Siege Equipment
| Siege Item | Materials | Damage | Notes |
| Stone Golem (Explosive) | 12 Explosives + 1 Servant | 1,000 per slam | Best wall breaker |
| Golem (Regular) | 1 Servant + 8 Planks + 4 Iron | 500 per slam | Cheaper, less damage |
| Explosive Charge | 12 Sulphur + 1 Leather | 2,000 | Place and detonate (one-time) |
| Demolisher | 1 Servant + 12 Planks + 4 Gemstones | 750 per hit | Ranged wall breaker |
Raid Strategy
| Phase | Action | Key Details |
| 1. Reconnaissance | Scout the base at night | Note wall material, entrance count, servant level |
| 2. Siege setup | Place golem at weakest wall | Look for corners (less support) |
| 3. Breach | Slam walls in sequence | Focus on one corridor — don't spread damage |
| 4. Interior combat | Kill servants + defenders | Use Chaos Volley for tight corridors |
| 5. Castle heart | Destroy it in under 60 seconds | Use all remaining charges/abilities |
Raid Window
- V Blood Raid Hours: 17:00-21:00 (event-based on most servers)
- Full Loot PvP: Always open
- Offline raid protection: Check your server settings. Some servers have 24h protection after logout
Servant Strategies
Servant Recruitment
| Servant Quality | Blood % Range | Max Level | Rarity |
| Blood Bag | 12-29% | 30 | Common |
| Common | 30-49% | 45 | Uncommon |
| Uncommon | 50-74% | 60 | Rare |
| Rare | 75-99% | 75 | Very Rare |
| Legendary | 100% | 90 | Ultra Rare |
Servant hunting: Transform into a human disguise (costume) at night. Enter human settlements. Use the "Check Blood" emote on sleeping villagers. Mark high-blood villagers and return in bat form to charm them.
Best Servant Equipment
| Servant Level | Weapon | Armor | Set Bonus |
| 30-45 | Iron Weapon | Iron Armor | +15% damage |
| 46-60 | Dark Silver Weapon | Dark Silver Armor | +25% damage, +20% HP |
| 61-75 | Gemstone Weapon | Gemstone Armor | +35% damage, +30% HP |
| 76-90 | Blood Weapon | Blood Armor | +50% damage, +50% HP, +10% speed |
Defender Servants
| Servant Role | Best Weapon | Behavior |
| Melee Suppression | Reaper or Axes | Aggressive in corridors |
| Range Support | Longbow or Crossbow | Stays at range, patrols open rooms |
| Balanced | Sword | Mix of offensive and defensive |
| Wall Guard | Mace | Strong against golem attackers |
Servant garrison: Place 4+ servant coffins in a cluster near the castle heart. Assign 2 melee + 2 ranged servants for balanced defense. Level all servants to at least 60 before expecting them to be effective.
Pro PvP Tips
- Potion economy: Always carry 2+ Elixir of Holy Resistance + 2+ Blood Rose Potion before engaging in PvP. Buff food lasts 30 minutes — eat before hunting.
- Dodge discipline: Do NOT spam dodge. A wasted dodge = death against good players. Wait for enemy abilities to commit before rolling.
- Ground telegraphs: Every ability has a 0.3-0.5s ground telegraph. Learn to read them. Blood Rage (red aura) = incoming charge.
- Servant blood quality: Only recruit servants with 75%+ blood quality. Low-quality servants die in one hit to geared raiders.
- Jewel crafting: Farm Sunken Monastery for jewel crafting recipes. Speed Jewels (-cooldown) are universally useful. (Weaving) Jewels are build-specific.
- Gear PVP scaling: Maximum gear gap matters. If you're GS 70 and enemy is GS 80, you deal ~30% less damage. Keep your gear within 2 tiers of the server max.
- Escape routes: Every room should have an exit path. Use bat form (PvP servers) or Rat Form (unlock from V Blood) to escape through small gaps. Keep a teleporter room near the heart.
- Clan coordination: In clan PvP (solo players are at a disadvantage), assign roles: 1 tank (Brute + Sword), 2 DPS (Warrior + Axes), 1 support (Scholar + Curse spells). Stun + focus fire = kill confirm.
- Base reputation: On merciless PvP servers, your castle's rep matters. If you're known for camping outside newbie bases, the server will gang up on you. Play smart, not toxic.
- Server settings check: Before building a castle, verify: raid hours, offline raiding rules, castle destruction decay timer, and PvP damage modifier. Settings vary wildly between official and community servers.
