What is V Rising?

V Rising is an open-world survival action RPG where you play as a weakened vampire awakened from centuries of slumber. Hunt for blood to regain your power, craft dark arcane technology, build a gothic castle, and conquer the realm of Vardoran. Play solo or in clans on PvE/PvP servers.

Getting Started Guide

1. First Steps

  1. Build a coffin — your respawn point
  2. Extract blood from deer, wolves, and humans
  3. Build a basic castle — workbench, blood press, and storage
  4. Stay out of the sun — travel through forests or use the bat form
  5. Defeat V Blood carriers — bosses that unlock new powers and tech

2. Gear Progression

Tier 1: Bone weapons + Simple gear
  → Defeat Keely the Frost Archer (V Blood Lv.16)
    → Tier 2: Copper/Bronze weapons
      → Defeat Quincey the Bandit King (V Blood Lv.27)
        → Tier 3: Iron weapons + Dark Silver gear
          → Defeat Leandra the Shadow Priestess (V Blood Lv.37)
            → Tier 4: Sanguine gear + Legendary weapons

Base Building Tips

  • Place your castle heart first — determines territory radius
  • Upgrade castle heart to expand build area
  • Servants (charmed humans) defend your castle and gather resources
  • Keep crafting stations close — workshops and forges in the same room
  • Build near a water source for blood press and fishing
  • Gardens grow plant fiber, cotton, and herbs

Combat Tips

  • Dodge roll has a cooldown — time it carefully
  • Blood rage (ability trigger) varies by blood type
  • Crossbows are safe for PvE farming
  • Swords and axes have different special moves — experiment
  • Shapeshifting (bat, wolf, human form) has combat applications
