💖 Castle Heart — The Core

The Castle Heart is your most important structure. It defines your buildable territory, stores your items, and determines your castle level.

How to Unlock

Step Requirement
1 Defeat Renowned Arthur (GS100, Farbane Woods)
2 Craft Castle Heart at Machining Table (100 Wood + 100 Stone + 20 Iron Ingot)
3 Place it in your desired location

Castle Heart Levels

Level Radius Unlock Cost Unlocks Servant Capacity
1 8 tiles 100 Wood + 100 Stone Basic building (Wood), Simple Floor/Wall 0
2 12 tiles 500 Wood + 500 Stone + 100 Planks Stone building, Stone Floor/Wall 2
3 18 tiles 2000 Wood + 2000 Stone + 500 Iron Dark Silver building, Servant Coffins 4
4 24 tiles 5000 Wood + 5000 Stone + 2000 Iron + 500 Reinforced Planks Imperial building, Castle Teleporter 6
5 32 tiles 15000 Wood + 15000 Stone + 5000 Iron + 1000 Dark Silver + 500 Gold Max level, all building types 8

Castle Heart Placement Guide

Location Advantage Disadvantage
Flat ground Easy building, symmetrical layout Exposed to raids
Cliff edge Natural defense on one side Limited expansion direction
Hilltop Good visibility, hard to siege Awkward building angles
Cave Natural protection, hidden Dark, limited space
Near water Easy blood rose farming Flood risk (cosmetic only)
Forest clearing Abundant wood nearby Enemies approach from all directions

💡 Tip: You can relocate your Castle Heart later, but the cost scales with level. Pick your main base location carefully — Level 5 relocation costs 10,000+ resources.

Multi-Floor Design

Floor Purpose Rooms
Ground Work + defense Workshop, Alchemy, Storage, Blood Bank, Prison
Second Living + servants Servant Quarters, Library, Kitchen, Garden (rooftop)
Third Prestige Throne Room, Trophy Hall, Blood Altar
Basement Secret/secure Emergency storage, escape tunnel, backup Castle Heart

Room Efficiency Tips

  1. Adjacent bonuses: Place the Blood Bank next to the Prison — easier blood extraction
  2. Crafting clusters: Workshop + Alchemy + Kitchen should be adjacent (common material flow)
  3. Servant paths: Servants walk between their coffin and the entrance — keep paths clear
  4. Vertical integration: Storage on ground floor, crafting on first floor, living above
  5. Garden placement: South-facing (in-game) gets more light for rose growth

🌹 Garden & Blood Rose Farming

Crop Growth Time Yield Uses Sunlight Needed
Blood Rose 20 min 2–4 per harvest Healing potions High

🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹

🌹 = Blood Rose (most important)
🔥 = Fire Bloom
🍄 = Ghost Mushroom
❄️ = Snow Flower

Farming Tips

  1. Blood Rose is your #1 crop — you need it for every healing potion
  2. Harvest with Worker blood — increases yield by 15–75%
  3. Garden speed buff — building near water speeds growth by 10%
  4. Automated watering — place Garden Soil next to a water source (no manual watering needed)
  5. Expand gradually — start with 10 Blood Rose plants, scale to 30+

🛡️ Castle Defense

Wall & Gate Defense

Defensive Structure HP Upgrade Cost Effectiveness
Wooden Wall 200 4 Planks Low — tier 1, easily broken
Stone Wall 500 4 Stone Bricks Medium — standard defense
Iron-reinforced Wall 800 4 Stone Bricks + 2 Iron Good — requires siege equipment
Imperial Wall 1200 4 Stone Bricks + 4 Dark Silver Excellent — endgame defense
Wooden Gate 300 8 Planks + 4 Iron Low — castle entrance
Stone Gate 750 8 Stone Bricks + 6 Iron Good — main gate
Imperial Gate 2000 8 Stone Bricks + 10 Dark Silver + 4 Gold Best — nearly unbreakable

Defense Strategies by Server Type

PvE Server

Defense Purpose Notes
Walls Keep wandering enemies out 1-tile-thick stone is sufficient
Gates Control access One main gate, one emergency exit
Outer perimeter Mark territory Decorative palisade or hedge
Recommended: Stone walls + stone gate. No traps needed.

PvP Server

Defense Purpose Notes
Double walls Time-delay raiders 2-tile-thick Imperial walls
Multiple gates Bypass bottleneck Build 2–3 gates, not 1
Honeycomb rooms Waste siege explosives Small rooms with internal walls
False doors Confuse raiders Decorative doors leading to walls
Fallback shelter Last stand Small reinforced room with Castle Heart
Traps (explosive) Area denial Place behind doors, on stairs
Recommended: Imperial double walls, 3 gates, honeycomb interior.

Siege Mechanics

Siege Weapon Purpose HP Damage Charge Time Counter
Ram Breach gates 50/sec 3s charge Attack the operators
Catapult Destroy walls 200 per hit 8s reload Destroy it, or repair walls
Explosive Charge Blow through walls 500 5s fuse Defuse (if you reach it in time)
Trebuchet Long-range siege 300 per hit 12s reload Hard to counter (roof helps)

Anti-Siege Tips

  1. Build roofs on everything — catapults and trebuchets can't target covered areas
  2. Keep backup materials — 500+ stone bricks for emergency repair mid-raid
  3. Multiple Castle Hearts — place a secondary heart in a hidden location as a fallback
  4. Alarm system — place bells near each entrance to alert you of breaches
  5. Perimeter walls should have crenellations — you can shoot over them; enemies can't

🧛 Servant System

Capturing Servants

Step Action Requirements
1 Find a human NPC Villagers, bandits, soldiers
2 Weaken them (below 25% HP) Any weapon
3 Use Charm ability Unlocked from V Blood carrier
4 Transport them to your castle Must be done before they wake up
5 Place them in a Servant Coffin Craft: 20 Planks + 5 Iron
6 Assign them a role From Castle Heart menu

Converted Servant Stats by Original NPC Type

NPC Type Combat Rating Resource Gathering Speed Best Role
Villager 10 30% Normal Farming, gathering

Servant Equipment

Equipment Slot Item Types Stat Effects

10 → 20 5000 Combat, rare resource runs
20 → 30 15000 V Blood raids, PvP defense
30 → Max 50000 Endgame content, raids

Servant Tips

  1. Rotate servants — send 2 on missions while 2 rest (cooldown: 2 hours real time)
  2. Equip your best gear on servants — a well-equipped servant is worth 3 ungeared ones
  3. Mages make the best defenders — their AOE attacks hit multiple intruders
  4. Villagers are underrated — they gather 30% faster than soldiers
  5. Don't neglect prison happiness — unhappy servants have lower stats

Common Castle Building Mistakes

Mistake Impact Fix
Building too large too fast Waste of resources, half-finished castle Start with essential rooms, expand outward
Castle Heart in exposed location Easy to destroy in raids Place it in the center, on the second floor
No servant quarters early Miss free resource gathering Build servant quarters at Castle Heart Lv. 2
Ignoring garden Expensive potion costs Plant 10+ Blood Roses immediately
Single entrance Easy to camp/bottleneck Build 2–3 gates, multiple exits
Wood walls past early game Easily destroyed Upgrade to Stone at Castle Heart Lv. 2, Iron at Lv. 3
No roof Catapults destroy interior Always roof your castle
Building in a valley Enemies attack from above Build on high ground or flat plateau
