|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 (Common) | 1–5 | +25% | None | Resin x5 + String x3 |
| 2 (Uncommon) | 6–10 | +50% | +1 to primary stat | Metal Scraps x5 + Leather x3 |

| 5 (Legendary) | 26–30+ | +125% | +5 to primary stat + major bonus | Dragon Scales x5 + Shroud Crystals x5 |
Upgrade Priority
- Weapon first — Upgrading your weapon gives the largest DPS increase per material spent
- Main hand weapon only — Focus materials on one weapon rather than splitting between two
- High-damage weapons benefit more — Upgrading a 40 damage weapon to Legendary (+125%) adds 50 damage vs upgrading a 20 damage weapon which only adds 25

Weapon Tips & Tricks
- R1 and R2 are different — Light attacks (R1) are faster but lower damage. Heavy attacks (R2) are slower but stagger enemies.
- Charged attacks — Holding the attack button charges it for bonus damage. A fully charged heavy attack on an axe does 3x base damage.
- Combo system — Light-light-heavy is the most efficient DPS combo for most melee weapons. Light-heavy is better for quick engagements.
- Weapon durability — Each weapon has 500–800 durability. A full repair costs 20% of the crafting materials. Carry a backup weapon.
- Parry windows — Swords and shields can parry. The parry window is 0.5 seconds (double the dodge's 0.25s invulnerability window).
- Elemental arrows — Craft fire, ice, and poison arrows at the Hunter workbench. Different arrow types do 50% more/less damage based on enemy weakness.
- Weapon reach matters — Spears have the longest reach (5m), daggers the shortest (1m). Use weapons appropriate for the enemy's threat level.
- Two-handing — Equipping a two-handed weapon removes your off-hand slot but increases damage by 25%.
- Sneak attacks — Attacking enemies from behind while crouched deals 3x damage with daggers, 2x with all other weapons.
- Status effects — Fire burn (10 damage/tick for 5s), Ice slow (30% slow for 3s), Poison (15 damage/tick for 8s). Procs stack.
